These rankings will be constantly updated as news develops. For some players (QBs), their value won't change all that much in the next month barring an injury, or an unexpectedly phenomenal or disastrous preseason performance. But for the many runningback committees, little injuries, a coach's announcements, and the way they're used in the preseason games can make a huge difference. When it's conceivable that literally any 1 of the RBs in the 3-headed monsters of Houston, Buffalo, or New England could end the year as the leading rusher on the team, it makes sense that Ben Tate and Arian Foster (Hou RBs) could plummet and skyrocket respectively in the next month. So keep checking back for updates.




How did we make these rankings?
As a starting point, we averaged the top 200 lists of all the major websites. Why use just 1 expert when you can use 10? From there, we started shifting people around based on new developments, and persuasive arguments. We'd love to attach a paragraph explaining our argument for the ranking of each individual player, but that's not feasible. So we'll continue discussing draft strategy, and feel free to write or comment with questions about any player.

You'll notice only a few defenses and zero kickers grace my top 200. I recommend waiting until the last 2 rounds to grab these 2 positions because there are so many "late round fliers" aka candidates with potential to breakout who are so very cheap. You could grab Josh Morgan, Chaz Schillens, or Mike Williams in the 13th round just before getting your kicker and Defense. That being said, if whatever draft board you're using (yahoo, cbs, nfl, espn) has one of your favorite late round fliers ranked super low such that you don't even need to burn your 12th or 13th round pick on them, you can grab the best available defense and kicker in the 12th and 13th and take your buried sleeper in the very end.
