HOT
WRs
Jeremy Maclin (PHI WR) vs. JAC
Maclin only has about 30 yards per game, but has added a TD to each game to save his fantasy value. This should be a good week to start him. I'm all aboard the Michael Vick bandwagon, and this is a great matchup against a Jacksonville secondary that gives up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing WRs. If he can keep up that TD streak, that would be a bonus because I think his yards alone should make him serviceable this week.
Malcolm Floyd (SD WR) vs. SEA
Floyd has more targets and receiving yards than any Charger receiver (including Antonio Gates). Who needs Vinny Jackson when you have Malcolm In The Middle? Rivers will help make Malcolm Floyd a star, and this weekend they'll face a soft Seattle defense.
Mark Clayton (STL WR) vs. WAS
Clayton looks like Sam Bradford's go-to guy. Last week, Clayton had fewer catches (though both were for TDs) because Nnamde Asomugha was covering him. This week, Clayton faces a Washington defense that gives the most fantasy points to wide receivers. You may hesitate to start someone on the Rams that you picked up off the waiver wire, but he should have a solid fantasy outing.
Santana Moss (WAS WR) vs. STL
Santana Moss has been a frustrating receiver to own over the past few years. He has his ups and downs, and had 1,000 yards only once. But this year, with McNabb at the helm, Moss could be an every week start. They're both playing at a high level, and this week they will face a very generous St. Louis defense.
TEs
Jason Witten (DAL TE) vs. HOU
Witten has had an extremely slow 2 weeks, and rumors said he'd miss week 3 with his concussion. However, he has put in a full practice and will start on Sunday. Houston is the #1 matchup for opposing TEs this season. I think the Cowboys will make it a point to get Witten involved this week.
Mercedes Lewis (JAC TE) vs. PHI
Lewis has been getting it done with catches, yards, and touchdowns. The weak offensive line forces the QB to throw it short frequently. Philadelphia was the 2nd easiest TE matchup last year and has been the 10th easiest this year.
Aaron Hernandez (NE TE) vs. BUF
Hernandez could be the real deal in New England. He tripled the production of Randy Moss and Wes Welker last week. He should continue producing against Buffalo this week.
NOT
WRs
Lee Evans (BUF WR) vs. NE
Evans has had some good years, but he's on the decline. This is a good matchup against New England, but you still can't start Evans. In fact, if he doesn't have a serviceable performance on Sunday, you can safely drop him.
Dwayne Bowe (KC WR) vs. SF
I know Bowe was on our buy-low list, and I still think he can get his act together. But a) you want to see him perform first before starting him, and b) this matchup against the 49ers defense will likely not be his breakout game. I'm looking for the 0-2 team to own the 2-0 team on Sunday.
Michael Crabtree (SF WR) vs. KC
This should be an easy matchup, but the targets and production just haven't been there for Crabtree yet. The Offensive Coordinator says the gameplan runs through Frank Gore, not Mike Crabtree. If Crabtree does not have a decent week, I will be seriously worried about his season. But I'd like to see Crabtree get it done once before starting him.
Steve Smith / Hakeem Nicks (NYG WRs) vs. TEN
This Tennessee defense is playing at a high level. The Giants passing game stats have looked fine, but 2 TDs came in garbage time on Sunday. Smith has not been clicking yet, and I think Nicks' performance has been a little flukey. The Titans will rock Eli, which doesn't bode well for his receivers.
TEs
Tony Scheffler / Brandon Pettigrew (DET TEs) vs. MIN
We've suggested Scheffler as decent prospect, but Pettigrew had the huge week 2 (in large part due to Nate Burleson's injury). We still like Scheffler long term, but not this week. Minnesota ranks 31 against TEs. With Nate Burleson and Matt Stafford out, the passing game is not at full strength. You may not be able to start Scheffler until they return to the field.
Greg Olsen (CHI TE) vs. GB
Olsen had a great week 2 game, but Green Bay ranks 29th against TEs. I will probably start Cutler but there's always a small chance that Cutler totally implodes because a) Green Bay is a tough matchup, and b) all of Cutler's primetime games last year were colossal disasters. This is a week to bench Olsen.
Heath Miller (PIT TE) vs. TB
Miller has not been performing without Roethlisberger. Tampa Bay has not been an easy matchup for TEs. If you're in a standard or shallow league, you can probably drop Miller and pick him back up before Big Ben returns. But if you're in a deeper league, we recommend holding on to Miller because he should be serviceable soon.

im into nuggets yall
I have 4 rb's and never start the right combo. Best, Foster, MJD and Mendy. Which 3 to start this week? Also Best is my best trade bait right now. Should I deal him forbade top WR?
Great work on stacking those RBs. I think Foster and MJD are must starts. Between Mendy and Best, Mendy has the great matchup against TB and Best has a tough matchup against Minnesota. That's a tough call but I just can't sit the #1 fantasy back so far this season - Jahvid Best. He could still get some damage done in the passing game.
Dear Fantasy Football Guru:
Pick 3:
Arian Foster v. Dallas
Mendenhall at TB
Michael Turner at NO
Benson at Panthers
Bradshaw v. Titans
I am leaning towards the first three. Dallas has played well against the run so far, but he's been a beast. TB hasn't stopped anyone running the ball, and w/Batch starting, Mendenhall should get plenty of touches (.5 PPR). NO gave up a big day to Gore and reports are that Turner is healthy. I'm torn about Benson b/c the Bengals should cream the Panthers and end up running the ball alot.
Thoughts?
-Embarrassed with Riches at RB
Good call on Foster. I think this game will be a shoot-out, but Foster should be plenty involved (he could have equal receiving and rushing yards again.) And I expect Houston to win this game, so Foster could really pour it on in the end while they protect that lead.
You're right about Mendenhall. I don't expect a huge yards per carry (unless he rips off a long one) because defenses may identify him as the best offensive weapon before Roethlisberger returns. But you're right that he'll get so many touches that he should have a solid day.
I'm a tiny bit worried about Turner being somewhat limited due to injury, but all indications say he's fine. He should have a big day.
All 5 of these guys would start on any other team, but you're team is so stacked. I agree with you and I'd go with Foster, Mendenhall, and Turner.

I'd like to amend the Nicks and Smith sits, because it looks like Tennessee's DB Cortland Finnegan is dealing with a thigh injury. He may play through the pain but not at full strength. Especially when it comes to Nicks, he just needs to burn the coverage on one play to take a long one in. Thus, I'm hesitant to list the receivers in the NOT category.
Good call on nicks. I like that u don't stubbornly stick to ur guns like president bush did.
