Not Hots

NOT

QBs

Mark Sanchez (NYJ QB) vs. GB 14
The matchup is average, but at the level Dirty Sanchez has been playing lately, it would take one of the best matchups for me to start him. Sanchez was red hot in weeks two and three, but hasn't topped 200 passing yards and has averaged just one TD per game since. It's time to bench Sanchez until further notice. Perhaps as Santonio Holmes gets more worked into the offense, the two could click and give Sanchez the big play potential he needs. But for now, I'm taking a wait-and-see approach with Sanchez.

Vince Young (TEN QB) vs. SD 32
Young has played well and has one of the most explosive receiver in the league in Kenny Britt. But coming off an injury against the best secondary in the league (for fantasy purposes at least), keep Young on the bench for now.

RBs

Chris Ivory (and all Saint RBs) vs. PIT 31
This Halloween night matchup will be frightening for the entire Saints backfield. It's looking like Thomas and Bush will not play, leaving Chris Ivory and Ladell Betts to shoulder the load. Ivory was awesome against the Bucs but struggled against the Browns. In this terrifying matchup, don't even think about starting a Saints RB.

Brandon Jackson (GB RB) vs. NYJ 32
BJax has really come into his own over the last three weeks and suddenly is looking potentially like the RB2 you spent your whole free agent budget on. But this is the hardest matchup in the league. If you're in a pinch, which isn't surprising with 6 teams on a bye, definitely plug him into your flex. But there are a lot of WRs I'd rather start over Jackson in this tough matchup. The Pack will be throwing all day.

WRs

Wes Welker (NE WR) vs. MIN 24
Without Randy Moss there to open up the field, Welker has struggled over the last few games. Since Moss's departure, Welker has averaged 39 yards per game. Yikes. I expect him to do a little better than that, but he's becoming (I hate to say it) a matchup play. And in this tough matchup, you may want to sit Welker.

Mike Crabtree (SF WR) vs. DEN 23
This is a real shame because Crabtree was just coming into his own with the new Offensive Coordinator. But Troy Smith now gets the start and the Denver secondary does not present an easy matchup . Just when it was safe to start Crabtree, it looks like he's going back to the bench until Smith and Crabtree can prove me wrong.

TEs

Owen Daniels (HOU TE) vs. IND 32
We pimped Daniels this week as a solid pick-up and we stand by that. Unfortunately, this is the worst possible matchup for the Tight End who's finally healthy. Matt Schaub is poised for a second half rebound, so I like Andre Johnson, Jacoby Jones, and Daniels going forward. I have to start Daniels in a few leagues, but if I have any other options, I'm benching him in this extremely difficult matchup on MNF.

Dirty Sanchez. Ha!

Crap. I had to pick up Daniels to replace Clark. I think I have to roll with O.D. Here's hoping he proves you wrong!

I have crabs on my team; you think that Troy Smith will do better than Carr did? I have to hope, right?

UPDATE: We mistakenly wrote that David Carr would start for the 49ers, when in fact, Troy Smith gets the start.

@Anonymous: Yes, I'd have to guess that Smith will do a little better than Carr because Carr was awful. Crabtree is immensely talented so maybe he can make something happen, but I'm advising people to bench him for now if they have any decent options.
